Hood Filter Cleaning Process

Hood cleaning is designed to capture grease, smoke, and airborne cooking particles before they enter the exhaust duct system. These filters serve as the first line of defense against grease accumulation inside ventilation equipment. However, over time, filters become clogged with grease deposits that reduce airflow efficiency and increase fire risks. Most commercial kitchens use metal mesh or baffle filters that trap grease particles during cooking. Dirty filters not only increase fire risks but also reduce indoor air quality. Smoke and grease vapors may spread throughout the kitchen if filters are blocked. This creates an uncomfortable work environment and may affect customer dining areas.

Proper hood filter maintenance also extends the lifespan of exhaust fans and ventilation systems. When airflow remains unrestricted, ventilation equipment experiences less mechanical stress and operates more efficiently.
