MRI Clinic Bucharest
An RMN Bucuresti (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) is a noninvasive way for your doctor to examine organs, tissues and skeletal system. It produces high-resolution images of the interior of your body and can detect any abnormalities, such as tumors, infection or injuries that might not be detected in a x-ray or CT scan. It can also determine if your blood vessels are working well or if they are diseased. An MRI can also show how your brain functions, which can help in the diagnosis of problems such as Alzheimer’s disease or depression.
A special type of MRI called functional MRI can determine how your brain is working, for example when you are talking or moving. It can also measure the flow of blood to different parts of your brain and help identify where there might be damage from a stroke or head trauma.

During an MRI examination, you will lie down on a table that slides into the opening of the machine. A technician watches you from another room. The investigation is painless and you can talk to the technologist at any time. If you have a fear of enclosed spaces, such as claustrophobia, you can ask for sedation.
You should not wear any metal objects, such as jewellery or watches, on the day of your MRI test. The strong magnetic field may damage these items and internal metal implants, such as a heart pacemaker. It is also possible to have an allergic reaction to the contrast dye used for some MRI tests.
